Easy Riders arrive in Spain

We spent our last night in Blighty in a very comfortable and warm Premier Inn down in Portsmouth and enjoyed a last pint of english ale  for a good while!

Ferry crossing was very calm, we slept well in our 'shoebox' cabin, and managed to disembark fron the ferry without mishap - though I have to say my heart missed a beat or two whilst negotiating the steep ramps (I'd hate to think how many beats Ann's heart missed).

Nevertheless we landed on Spanish soil, whereupon I spoke to the customs officer in French when he requested my IRISH passport (I did wonder why I got no response & a blank expression).

Navigated our way thru' Santander into the snowcapped mountains beyond, heading towards Palencia some 130 miles away. Spent our first night in a Hostal in Polencia which was clean and comfortable with hot water, though i can't say the same for the heating system. (I reckon Pauly Moore could teach them a thing or two). We experienced a local 'Fiesta' singing, dancing and strangely enough how to butcher a couple of wild boars (not us). It was quite an interesting experience and one we might try at our next houseparty  not!!!

We left early this morning to 'warm up' on the bike and source breakfast in the city of Valladolid, where we are currently writing this blog having warmed up. The temperature outside is about 7degrees and the sun is shinning.

So tata for now as we must press on to our next destination - Zamora.

'Keep the faith'

Love to all xx
The Easyriders.
